I am pleased to welcome the prospective students to the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at Al-Kawthar University. The Faculty is committed to delivering unique programs guided by Islamic principles; outcomes fostering mindset and behavior change for quality and wellness management; and producing agents impacting on bringing a social change. The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences offers programs with a unique philosophy of focusing on the 5S approach of Self, Society, State, Systems, and Spirituality as the fundamental basis of teaching. The core of the curriculum is Research, Education, Systems, and Training. We strive to ensure internship and job placements for our graduates.
Our Mission is to provide affordable, unique, quality, and evidence-based human capital development healthcare programs of national and international standards, deeply rooted in Islamic Values; producing quality graduates equipped with academic and professional knowledge for their Islamic ethical and professional growth for positive contributions to society. While the Vision is to be a leading center focusing on “Ihsan” in healthcare education, research, and innovation, inspired by the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and the earliest generation of Muslims; producing professionals providing compassionate care, delivering quality services; and acting as the agent of social change. While the core elements of vision include: “Ihsan” in Health Systems and Quality Service Delivery, to produce healthcare professionals who are dedicat ed to delivering safe, effective, efficient, quality and compassionate care as per Islamic teachings; Leaders in Education, Research, and Innovation, with the fac ulty well equipped to lead in research, developing innovative technology, and educated with evidence-based knowledge for practice; and our Commitment to produce Social Impact, through our graduates leading the path laid down by the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) for transforming communities through behavior change; respecting diversity, and reducing the gap of dispari ties. Under this faculty, we will be offering a Bachelor of Science in Laboratory and Imaging Technology, Master’s Programs, and Nursing, Midwifery, Paramedic, and Health Technician Programs. In addition, the professional development center is focused on faculty and professional development programs. The combination of a University, hospital, and Nursing College provides a perfect blend for evidence-based education for our students.
