Anti-Harassment Committee

Al-Kawthar University is committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive academic and working environment for all members of its community. In compliance with the guidelines of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), the University has established an Anti-Harassment Committee to implement and oversee the “Policy on Protection against Harassment in Higher Education Institutions.”

The Committee serves as an independent and impartial body responsible for addressing all complaints related to harassment, including verbal, physical, psychological, or online misconduct. It ensures that all cases are handled with fairness, confidentiality, and sensitivity, while upholding the dignity and rights of all parties involved. The policy strictly prohibits harassment in any form, recognizing it as a violation of personal dignity and institutional values.

The core functions of the Anti-Harassment Committee include:

• Receiving and reviewing complaints from students, faculty, and staff

• Conducting transparent and unbiased inquiries in accordance with prescribed procedures • Recommending appropriate disciplinary or corrective actions

• Ensuring due process and providing an avenue for appeal

• Promoting awareness, prevention, and education regarding harassment-related issues

The Committee operates under a zero-tolerance approach towards harassment and is dedicated to maintaining a campus environment where individuals can learn and work without fear, discrimination, or intimidation. It also encourages all members of the University community to report incidents of harassment, with full assurance of confidentiality and protection against retaliation.

Through this mechanism, Al-Kawthar University reinforces its commitment to accountability, ethical conduct, and the creation of a secure and supportive educational environment for all.

Responsibilities

The Department of Digital & Social Media Marketing is responsible for managing the University’s official social media channels, and digital campaigns. This includes content planning and creation, graphic and video coordination, campaign execution, and performance monitoring. The department oversees digital promotions for admissions, academic programs, events, and achievements, ensuring brand consistency across all platforms. It collaborates with academic and administrative departments to translate institutional activities into effective digital narratives, manages online engagement and reputation, and ensures the use of modern digital tools and analytics to enhance reach, engagement, and impact.
