Fee Refund and Re Adjustment
Al-Kawthar University follows the National Level Fee Refund Policy issued by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad, as well as its own University regulations.
The HEC circulated its policy vide Letter No. 10-1/HEC/A&C/2012/94 dated Sep tember 11, 2012, to all public and private universities for necessary adoption. In light of recent changes to fee structures and student complaints, a committee comprising Heads of Institutions from both public and private universities revisit ed the policy at a meeting held on October 7, 2015, at HEC, Islamabad. The Com mittee unanimously approved the revised National Level Fee Refund Policy, which is implemented at Al-Kawthar University.

Notes
- Percentage of fee applies to all components of the fee except Security and Admission charges.
- Timelines are calculated continuously, covering both weekdays and weekends.
University-Specific Guidelines
- Admission Fee shall not be refunded.
- Caution Money and the full Tuition Fee (excluding Admission Fee) shall be refunded if requested within seven days of the commencement of the semester.
- Caution Money and 50% of Tuition Fee shall be refunded if requested between the eighth and fifteenth day of the semester.
- Only Caution Money shall be refunded if requested after the fifteenth day of the semester.
- The Vice Chancellor may, at their discretion, relax the refund policy under mitigating circumstances.
Freezing of Semester
If a student applies to freeze a semester, any fees already submitted shall be carried forward to the semester in which the student rejoins.
Withdrawal of a Course (Regular Semester)
No fee shall be refunded if a student withdraws from a course after two weeks from the commencement of the semester.
Summer Semester
No fee shall be refunded once a student has registered for a course in the Summer Semester.
Cancellation of a Course or Program
If a course is cancelled by the University after being offered, the full fee shall be refunded. In the event of a program cancellation, all charges including Admission Fee shall be refunded.
Refund to Students Failing to Meet Admission Eligibility Criteria
Students who were granted provisional admission but fail to meet the mini mum eligibility criteria prescribed for the degree program shall only be entitled to a refund of Caution Money. No other fees shall be refunded.
