Connecting Students with Industry for a Sustainable Future
The Directorate of Student Services at Al-Kawthar University, in collaboration with an NPO under the ILO Project, organized an Industry Awareness & Capacity Building Conference on 17 September 2026.
The conference focused on resource efficiency, green productivity, climate action, sustainability, and practical approaches to improving industrial practices across the Textile and Auto sectors. The event provided students with an opportunity to engage with industry professionals and gain firsthand insights into emerging practices and challenges in sustainable industrial development.
Representatives from AgriAuto Stamping Industries, Masaud Tech Auto, Risan Engineering, and Humera Industries participated in the conference and shared practical experiences from their respective industries.
The event featured an address by Mr. Alamgir Chaudhry, CEO, NPO, and Dr. Shahid Raza Mir, Director Student Services, Al-Kawthar University. Mr. Naeem Ansari, ILO Representative, also participated in the event. The vote of thanks was presented by Mr. Aftab Khan, AGM NPO, while Ms. Hannah Tariq and Mr. Hammad Altaf served as moderators.
The conference strengthened the connection between academia and industry while encouraging students to develop a deeper understanding of sustainable industrial practices, resource efficiency, and climate-conscious development.
